 | Maia hairpin
A striking folk inspired hairpin lavished with linked pendants and beads.
Vulcan was the Roman god of fire, especially destructive fire, and craftsmanship. Maia was one of his wives.
A sense of luxury is given by the use of Dorado coated Swarovski bicone beads and vintage reclaimed round and teardrop glass 'pearls'
Since the late 19th century rubber has been vulcanized by heating with sulphur present to improve resilience and elasticity, and to prevent it from perishing.
This range is produced by using scraps and off cuts from the manufacture of rubber sheeting for the food and allied industries. These are then vulcanised and cut with by water jet to create the bold shapes of this range.
